The MSU Parent Fund provides scholarships to MSU students with financial need. In 2004, parents created the Parent Fund Scholarship Endowment, and since then, five students have received scholarships. The goal this year is to raise $25,000 to add to the scholarship endowment. I hope you will be part of the Parent Fund as it expands the educational opportunities for students. Thank you again for your gift to the Parent Fund. The goal is to continue to build the scholarship and offer additional scholarships in the future.

I am truly thankful for your support in this fundraiser. I wish I could hug every one of you to show you my gratification. I chose Midwestern on a leap of faith and I have no regrets in doing so� Midwestern has provided me with many new and great experiences. I am currently studying Elementary Education and loving every minute of it. I hope to teach second grade and then move to the administration level. I have taken three educational courses thus far and have learned loads of material that will benefit my future career. At the end of my freshmen year I faced a financial situation that determined if I would be returning to Midwestern my sophomore year. After many prayers and research, I was able to stay here. Even though I might be paying loans for the next couple years of my life, Midwestern is definitely the place for me. When I received a scholarship from the Parent Fund I was ecstatic because any financial gift will help. Thank you for the scholarship, I appreciate it so much. When it came to choosing a college, I knew that Midwestern was the place for me. I felt comfortable when I visited the campus and knew that it was where I wanted to spend the next four years of my life. I plan of majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise physiology and then going to physical therapy school. Someday, I would love to be a physical therapist and work with athletes. This scholarship is such an honor, and it encourages me to continue to work hard and to do well in school because my hard work has not gone unnoticed. Thank you for choosing me as the recipient of this scholarship. I am very grateful for this award and will use it to further my education as a radiologist. I am from a small town and moved to Wichita Falls six years ago. This town has inspired me to have dreams and accomplish my goals in hopes of one day giving back to my community.
