On the campus of Midwestern State University lies a room that comes alive each evening with the energy and excitement of students.

The MSU Phonathon is an integral part of our fundraising efforts.  Student callers make calls four nights a week to alumni, parents, and friends from September through May. Our articulate and enthusiastic callers look forward to speaking with you. Students calls to:

·         Build and maintain relationships with all constituents;

·         Cultivate and reactivate donors;

·         Acknowledge the generosity of donors and the impact of their gifts;

·         Maximize the opportunities and convenience for alumni, faculty and staff, friends, and parents to support any area at MSU;

·         Verify and update information to ensure you receive the Sunwatcher Magazine and other notices;

·         Share news and updates about MSU

Our callers are committed to improving the MSU experience for themselves and future students. Whether you give $100 or $1,000, each gift makes a significant impact on the Midwestern State University students. Funds raised help MSU immediately.  These dollars are available to areas with the greatest need such as scholarships and financial aid, providing new technology, campus renovations, strengthening curriculum for cross-disciplinary teaching and training, continuing strong student-faculty relationships, and attracting talented faculty.

We had a fantastic group of student callers last spring. Their majors varied from nursing, biology, pre-med, psychology, dental hygiene, radiology, business, criminal justice, marketing, education, and others. They are involved in campus life - Student Ambassadors, Math Club and Caribbean Student Organization.

Our Phonathon callers are typical of every student on campus at MSU.  They are smart, involved, caring, and they love Midwestern State University.

(Front Row: Bridgette, Coryse, Janda, Sara, and Courtney. Middle row: Donisha, Rachel, Annaton, Joy-Ann, Matt, and Ale. Back row: Sheldon, Krystal, Joy, Jesse, Skyler, and Francis.)

Our ability to raise these important dollars depends on our ability to get in touch with you! If you haven't received a call from MSU in a while, please send us your phone number!

Our goals of increasing participation and staying connected with alumni and parents are very important.  Thank you alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends for taking the time to speak with our callers. Your support, no matter what size, is appreciated and demonstrates a strong commitment to MSU.

Working at the MSU Phonathon can be a great way to gain work experience. Callers learn important communication and negotiation skills, an ability that makes student callers a highly valued asset to future employers. Shifts are Monday - Thursday, 5:30 - 9:00 p.m.  Callers must work a minimum of two shifts per week. To apply for a Phonathon caller position, please click on the link below or come by the Annual Fund Office, Hardin Building Room 201, to pick up an application.
