Presented by: Faculty Forum Series Description: On the bicentennial of the birth of Charles Darwin (1809-1882) and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his seminal work, On the Origin of the Species (1859), scholars from various disciplines examine the breadth and depth of Darwin's far-ranging impact on the sciences, literature, history, and the Western intellectual tradition. Exploring evolutionary naturalism and the paradigm shift that marked a fundamental change not only in the sciences but virtually all areas of human thought and inquiry, panelists will share their unique perspectives on Darwin, his life's work, enduring legacy, and continuing influence.
