» Speakers and Issues: William Bryant Logan
William Bryant Logan begins the 11th season of the Speakers and Issues series with "There is no Such Place as Away." Logan is a certified arborist and president of Urban Arborists Inc, a Brooklyn-based tree company. Logan has won numerous Quill and Trowel Awards from the Garden Writers of America and won a 2012 Senior Scholar Award from the New York State chapter of the International Society of Arborists. He is on faculty at the New York Botanic Gardens and is the author of three books, Oak, Dirt, and Air.
The Speakers and Issues Series seeks to bring engaging speakers to the campus to enrich the university community by exploring thought-provoking issues in science, politics, culture and current events of local to international importance.
