» Broadway Bound Presented by: MSU Theatre Location: Lamar D. Fain FIne Arts Theatre Description: Broadway Bound is the third play of an autobigraphical trilogy. It follows "Brighton Beach Memoirs," which is based on Neil Simon's life as a boy growing up in New York, and Biloxi Blues, which recounts his army experiences. Broadway Bound depicts a time in Simon's life when success as a writer is at the doorstep. During the winter of 1949 in Brighton Beach, the Jerome house is filled with Hollywood dreams and also the pressure of the striving middle class worker. Going against the ideals of their father and Trotsky, Eugene Jerome, and his brother, Stanley, find their way to comedic success but in the process, they learn that everything in life doesn't come to a clear cut conclusion.
