Public Relations Specialists

Public relations specialists (‘pub-lic re’la-tions ‘spe-cial-ists) serve as advocates for businesses, governments, universities, hospitals, schools, and other organizations, and build and maintain positive relationships with the public.  As managers recognize the growing importance of good public relations to thesuccess of their organizations, they increasingly rely on public relations specialists for advice on strategy and policy of such programs.  Public relations specialists deal in the art of communications.The success of a company or anagency may depend on how well public relations specialists can convey to the public its aims,policies, and activities.  Conversely, a company depends greatly for its success on how well these experts understand what the public expects of the company.
