   Duke Ellington to Miles Davis in Live Performance & Stories”

A smart, “cool” overview of classic jazz from the ‘30s through ‘60s, as told through live performances, stories and historical music perspectives.

Features performances by the Basin Street Big Band and a group of MSU jazz players led by Alan Black. 

Special guest Eurah White, a musician origanlly from Chicago who met and saw most of the century’s great jazz players, will talk about greats from Charlie Parker to Miles Davis.
