"Fantasy of Lights" Jazz Concert,
             Don Stiernberg Quintet

Join us for a “Fantasy of Lights” fundraiser with the Don Stiernberg Quintet.
Don Stiernberg is one of
Chicago's busiest musicians, turning up on recording
sessions and at performances of all kinds to play mandolin, guitar, tenor banjo,
fiddle, or even sing.

Recently, his own recordings as a mandolinist have made inroads on the national jazz and bluegrass scenes. Don Stiernberg's latest release, Unseasonably Cool, makes you realize that jazz is not by its nature inaccessible.

Here you'll find an entire CD full of jazz standards performed with lyricism and grace.
