Dr. Jesse Rogers will discuss hand-colored, copper plate prints produced from the work of Albin, Catesbay, Bessler, Audubon, and other artist-scientists of the period 1600 to 1840.

A series of these colorful and beautiful prints of birds, butterflies and plants will be shown from the collection of Jesse and Karen Rogers.  The scientific and artistic endeavors that have made these works an important and popular genre of art will be discussed.
