Rogers held in high regard: MSU president praised by staff

"...[H]e's a sucker for wood-fired, glazed, Edgefield Southern Pottery.  He has majestic pots throughout their [Drs. Jesse and Karen Rogers'] home," said MSU public information officer Janus Buss. "He's been collecting them since he was very young."

"And he shares," said Eileen Parker, his secretary when he was vice president for Academic Affairs. A collection of pots decorate the top shelf of her desk, which now sits down the hall from Rogers' current office.  "He has always shared his interest with his pottery and (bird) prints with us in the office," Parker said.
