Though there have been significant strides in reducing population pressures, last year world population grew by nearly 80 million, with 99 percent of that growth occurring in the poorest parts of the world. President of the Population Institute, Werner Fornos, has been described as the foremost spokesman on global population issues.

Mr. Fornos has addressed virtually all major international gatherings on population, dating back to 1974. If you don’t know why you should be concerned about world population, you will after you hear Mr. Fornos speak.
