SIGN lANGUAGE, BEGINNING

 

Learn how to communicate in sign language. This is a wonderful class for students who want to

begin to learn sign language. American Sign Language will be taught by our certified Instructor Kathy

Instructor:  Kathy Peterson

Dates: 9/09/2014 through 10/28/2014  Tuesdays (8 sessions)

Time:   6:00 PM to 7:30 pm

Registration Fee: $80.00

Location: Moffett Library or CSC

 

SIGN LANGUAGE, INTERMEDIATE              

Instructor:  Kathy Peterson

Dates: 9/09/2014 through 10/28/2014  Tuesdays (8 sessions)

Time:   7:30 PM to 9:00 pm

Registration Fee: $80.00

Location: Moffett Library or CSC

(eight- 2.0 hr. classes, 16 hrs. total)

For those who have some background in sign language. Topics include a brief study of the history of sign language, deaf culture, manual alphabet (finger spelling), and signs used to communicate with the deaf. Time will be given for both receptive and expressive communication practices. 
No book needed - Instructor will have handouts.

**We must have a minimum of 10 students.
