•AIR CONDITIONING, BASIC


For students who want a good overall knowledge of air-conditioning. Includes a detailed explanation of:  (1)heat transfer and cooling; (2)basic air-conditioning circuits; (3)air-conditioning components; (4)air conditioning tools and measurements; (5)evacuation, charging, and checkout.  A combination of lecture and video tapes, and includes a one hour examination. Students completing this course will have a good working knowledge of air-conditioning equipment, its components, tools, and measuring devices as well as the proper method for  testing, charging, and checking out A/C systems. Written on a level that would even be helpful to the man or woman of the house in discussing air-conditioning units with a repair.  Includes test and certification.  Be prepared for the new federally required licensing. Required textbooks: "Modern Refrigeration and Modern Refrigeration Study Guide (available at MSU Bookstore)(Limit 30, CEU 0.8)
