Requirements - Do you meet the minimum requirements for the scholarship? Don't waste your time applying for a scholarship for which you do not qualify.

Follow directions!

Neatness - Make sure your application is legible. If possible, use a typewriter or word processor to complete the application. Otherwise, print very clearly.

Check spelling!

Don't leave anything blank - If the question doesn't apply, write "not applicable" or "NA" in the space.

Deadlines - Pay attention to the application deadline and submit your application before that date. Late applications are usually not considered.
