Thursday, Sept. 19     Midwestern State University will host a screening of The Blues and Gospel Music, the first film in the series, America’s Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway. Assistant Professor of Music Alan Black will moderate the discussion after the film. Gospel singer Howard Wherry will perform after the discussion. The film will begin at 7 p.m. at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU. Admission is free. For more information, call MSU Librarian Dr. Clara Latham at (940) 397-4757.
