The Human Resources Department is responsible for wage and salary administration, pay plan classification, recruitment and employment, personnel policies, employee relations, equal employment opportunity and affirmative action, new employee orientation, employee training and development, employee benefits administration, and personnel records.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Human Resources Department is to support the vision, goals and challenges of Midwestern State University by providing services which promote a work environment characterized by fair treatment of employees, open communications, personal empowerment, accountability, trust and mutual respect.

We provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and equitable administration of policies fostering a positive work environment. We seek and provide solutions to workplace issues that support the principles of the university. 2014 President’s Classified and Non-Classified Staff Awards

Congratulations to Pam Marshall, Secretary, English and Linda Knox, Assistant Registrar, as the 2014 recipients of the President’s Staff Awards. Both Pam and Linda received an engraved plaque, a watch with the MSU insignia, and a check for $500. The awards were presented during the Service Pinning Luncheon held October 15. In addition to Pam and Linda, congratulations also go out to these employees who were nominated for the awards and recognized for their outstanding service to the university.
