The Human Resources Department is responsible for wage and salary administration, pay plan classification, recruitment and employment, personnel policies, employee relations, equal employment opportunity and affirmative action, new employee orientation, employee training and development, employee benefits administration, and personnel records.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Human Resources Department is to support the vision, goals and challenges of Midwestern State University by providing services which promote a work environment characterized by fair treatment of employees, open communications, personal empowerment, accountability, trust and mutual respect.

We provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and equitable administration of policies fostering a positive work environment. We seek and provide solutions to workplace issues that support the principles of the university. EPAF - Paperless Processing begins Monday, August 4

In order to streamline and simplify personnel action processing for employees, our current paper document, the Personnel Transaction Form (PTF), will be replaced by an electronic version, Electronic Personnel Action Form (EPAF). Departments will have access to Hire, Rehire or Terminate a Student Employee.
