Responsibilities: Include contributing to the development of undergraduate/graduate programs; supervision of 12 full-time faculty; overseeing a B.S. degree in teacher education with multiple areas of certification, a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and a M.Ed. in Reading, M.Ed. in Educational Leadership; conducting research; and providing service to the unit and the university.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution; knowledge of content and skills necessary to teach courses in Curriculum and Instruction to prospective teachers and graduate students; K-12 teaching experience. Preferred: Experience in teacher education on the post-secondary level; experience in program development and assessment; and an established research agenda.
