Position: Transit Bus Drivers (Part-time Non-Benefit Eligible)

Schedule Details:
Description: Driver will drive diesel powered buses, or Mini-bus on trips as required and scheduled by Midwestern State University.

Frequent overnight/out of state travel is required.  Includes Athletic events, field trips, competitions, and shuttle service for campus activities.

Requires moderate physical activity.  Must be able to operate a motor vehicle designed to shuttle people.  Must have good vision and hearing.

Experienced driver with a past record or safe driving.

Must have the appropriate Texas Commercial Drivers License (CDL), with passenger and air brakes endorsements and maintain eligibility for such license as a condition for employment.  Requires knowledge of procedures for handling ADA Handicap Lift.

In addition to the required CDL license, driving skills and safe operating practices, driver must represent the university with courtesy, helpfulness, and professionalism.  Requires TXDOT physical exam.  Job is security sensitive and requires a criminal background check.

Education Requirements: Graduation from high school or GED.
