Setup your Android to use the MSUSecureWireless network

(The screens and menus on Android devices vary by vendor.  Depending upon the make/model of device you are using, you may find the instructions below do not precisely match the menus on your device.)

 

  1.        At the Home Screen, tap the [Menu] button and select “Settings” and tap “WiFi”.

 

  1.        If WiFi is not on swipe the slider to turn on the WiFi radio in you Android.

 

  1.        Once the MSUSecureWireless network has shown up in the list of visible wireless networks, tap “MSUSecureWireless” to begin the connection process.

 

  1.        Verify that the “EAP method” is set to “PEAP” and set the “Phase 2 authentication” to “MSCHAPV2”

 

  1.        Under “Identity”, enter your login ID:

For Faculty/Staff use the same username that you use to login to your desktop computer.

For students enter your portal username in the STUDENT\username format.

  1.        Leave the “Anonymous identity” field blank.

 

  1.        Under “Password”, enter your login password:

For Faculty/Staff use the same password that you use to login to your desktop computer.

For students enter your portal password.

 

  1.        Tap Connect.

Congratulations, your Android is now registered to use the MSUSecureWireless network.
