Collects, organizes, maintains, analyzes, and interprets statistical institutional data for use by the management of the university as well as for external agencies involved in the planning, policy formulation, decision making, and administration of institutes of higher education.
Provides timely, accurate, and unbiased data to be of use in the development of an information management system for purposes of meaningful display of institutional data throughout the university.
Provides resources as necessary in support of University Strategic Planning and Assessment initiatives.
Goals pertaining to data collection, data organization, data maintenance, data analysis, data dissemination, and research are accomplished in accordance with the priorities established in the approved Annual Research Plan. Goals pertaining to Strategic Planning, Evaluation, and Assessment are accomplished in accordance with the priorities set by the President of the University or his representative.
The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment is an integral part of the university’s research, planning, and evaluation process. It supports the university’s mission through effective collection, analysis, and dissemination of data on all facets of the university. Finally, it provides not only historical data but also projections whenever deemed appropriate by the administration.
