Graduation Rates |
|
In compliance with the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act of 1990 (Public Law 101-542), it is the policy of MSU to disclose its completion/graduation rate to all current and prospective students. Rates are based on fall term enrollment of full-time (12 credit hours), first-time degree seeking undergraduates. Students are counted as graduates if they graduate with a bachelor’s degree within 150 percent of the normal time for completion of graduation. Rates do not include part-time students, students who have attended college elsewhere before attending MSU, students who began their studies in a term other than fall, or non-degree seeking students. Beginning with Fall 2005, the IPEDS definition of BFR (beginning freshmen) changed – this change will be reflected in any subsequent data. Only those athletes in the original cohorts are included in any of the athlete numbers. Cohorts are identified here through the last year from which six years have passed (150 percent of the normal time for completion of bachelor degree graduation). |
