1. To understand the effects of jogging and physical fitness on the human body.
2. To improve the cardiovascular fitness of students as a result of aerobic training.
3. To achieve a level of physical condition based on predetermined goals established by the student.
4. To develop an appreciation for jogging as a long-term activity for improved health, weight control, and cardiovascular condition.

Class will begin at 11:00 am on MWF, 3 absences will be allowed during the semester with no penalty. Absences beyond 3 will result in a loss of 5 points per absence in your 100 participation points. After six (6) absences, you will be dropped from the class. In certain circumstances, such as serious illness, a missed class can be made up with approval of the instructor.
