Students will learn how to effectively evaluate the methods and materials for piano study available to teachers and students. In addition, students of this course teach students (children and adults) from the community to gain experience of and insight into the art of teaching.

You won’t appear interested if you’re not in class
You will teach two students in Model Class for experience without pay. You will be paid for any additional students you teach. You will be observed intermittently while teaching lessons (not all observations will be pre-arranged). Lesson plans and self-critiques will be evaluated.
You will have one major written assignment, due before Thanksgiving break.
You will have oral presentations to be given in class. Be ready: these will start the beginning of October
This is a participation course. Each student must teach students from the community in Model Class. This teaching will be evaluated and factored into the grade. There is one written project.

ALL WRITTEN WORK MUST BE TYPED AND TURNED IN ON TIME. THE GRADE WILL LOWER BY ONE LETTER EACH SUBSEQUENT DAY.
STAPLE AND SIGN PAPERS BEFORE TURNING THEM IN!!!
Grade falls by 1/5th letter for each day the assignment is late!
--Attendance is necessary! Grade falls by 1/3rd letter for each absence after the second!
