1. Communicate components of the school vision in written and oral forms to diverse stakeholders.
2. Incorporate technology/media in communicating the vision.
3. Develop interpersonal communication skills for use in resolving conflict and building shared commitment to the vision.
4. Learn and apply the “language” of conflict resolution, mediation, cognitive coaching, and mentoring.
1. Internship Activity -
Speech to stakeholders that conveys school vision, including storytelling component
2. Use of media technology to share school message.
3. Presentation to class demonstrating one of the strategies in Resolving Conflicts at Work.
4. Paper on negotiation (Getting to Yes) including a scenario and script to be used in class.
5. Weekly journal from readings in Resolving Conflicts at Work.
6. Work-setting conflict resolution practice.
7. Issues discussions.
