Course Description:
The Falls Chamber Orchestra is an instrumental chamber ensemble open to interested students and members of the community by audition and permission of the instructor. Fall and Spring concerts are presented, with the possibility of a holiday concert. Literature includes chamber orchestra literature from the Baroque to the comtemporary.
Course Objectives:
The study and presentation of chamber music literature in a rehearsal and performance context.
Textbook:
No textbook is required. Individual players are responsible for maintaining and returning music on loan.
Other Materials Needed:
Players will be expected to provide and maintain their instruments.
Course Evaluation:
Members of the ensemble will be expected to attend all rehearsals and concerts. Participation in rehearsals is expected, as is practice outside of class sufficient to execute the music.
