The goal of this course is to teach students topics in Intermediate Algebra which will prepare them for a college-level mathematics course.
Students are expected to attend every class day, to keep up with the daily homework assignments, to come to class prepared to be an active participant in classroom work, and to take the iniative to seek help when needed.
A total of 650 points may be earned from a combination of 4 unit tests, daily homework grade, and a comprehensive final exam.
Minimum points needed for each grade: A - 90% or 585 points, B - 80% or 520 points, C - 70% or 455 points, D - 60% or 390 points, F - below 390 points.
All daily homework is completed and submitted online through the MyMathLab program - please see instructor for more details.
All tests are completed during class.
Attendance is an essential component of this course and will be checked in every class.
If you are absent from more than 3 classes on or before July 18 (last university-wide drop day), you will receive an "F" in this class.
