Prerequisite: Math 1003 (Intermediate Algebra) with a grade of "C" or higher, or satisfactory score on placement exam.
Required: hardcopy of textbook, enrollment in MyMathLab (online homework program), and graphing calculator
There will be three unit tests, a final exam, and a homework grade which will be generated from the MyMathLab assignments as well as any in-class quizzes. The final course grade will be determined by the earned percentage of total possible points. (90% - A, 80% - B, 70% - C, 60% - D, below 60% - F)
All tests will be taken in-class. Homework will be submitted online.
Homework must be completed by the online due date.
Make-up tests are generally only given in exceptional circumstances. Communication with the instructor is vital.
No make-up is allowed for the final exam.
In the case of quizzes, no make-up is allowed.
Students are expected to attend all class meetings. Students may be dropped by the instructor with a grade of "F" for excessive absences (more than four). Please refer to the university's official class attendance policy before deciding to discontinue attending class.
Cell phone use is not tolerated during class. Cell phones must be turned off and put away during class.
