Applications of algebra and trigonometry to the study of elementary functions and their graphs including polynomial, rational, exponentiall, logarithmic and trigonometric functions.
A graphing calculator is required for this course.

quizzes - 100 points
final - 150 points
Late assignments will not be accepted.
You are expected to attend class on a regular basis. A student with four or more absences may be dropped from the course. Any student who leaves class without permission of hte instructor is considered to be absent for the class period and any work submtted will not be graded.
All cell phones must be turned off or set to silent. If a student is caught text-messaging during class, it will be assumed that he/she is cheating and he/she will receive an “F” on the day’s assignment/quiz/exam.
Excessive cell phone use may result in confiscation of the phone. A student may retrieve the phone after conferencing with the instructor or the department chair.
MP3 players may not be used during class.
