Internet Course - using MSU D2L and publisher's website for SAM 2010
Begin by logging on to MSU's D2L web site. All other information is posted there.
Software access codes MUST be purchased from the bookstore to access the course materials. Codes can be purchased from the pubulisher but you will NOT get the bundle discount. The access codes can only be registered once. DO NOT purchase used access codes.
Students will complete the following tests and assignments:
30% Emerge Exams
30% Office Exams
25% Projects & Essay

All assignments (except the first email assignment) MUST be submitted through the SAM 2010 Web Site system or the D2L web site. (Only students officially enrolled in the course have access to the course web sites.)
Please note that all assignments are due before 11 p.m. on the due date.
All exams (except them final make-up exams) must be started before 11 p.m. on a Thursday. The Final make-up exams are due by 11 p.m. Friday, May 2.
Most Assignments are NOT accepted late.
Exceptions: email assignment & plagiarism essay are accepted up to 1 week late - 5 points off per day late
Tests cannot be taken late. Test must be completed before 11:00 p.m. on the date due. Once started, you have 50 minutes to complete the test.
All assignments and tests are available online at the beginning of the semester and all may be completed early.
Two make-up exams are available to cover a missed exam or missed assignment. One is on the Emerge material and one is on the MS Office 2010. ALL exams are posted on the Sam 2010 web site.
"Attendance" for this Internet-based course will be determined by the work completed. The official last date of attendance will be the date of the last assignment submitted or the last test completed. Failure to turn in assignments and complete tests on time will constitute "absences" and will cause the student to be reported to the appropriate offices on MSU campus that track student attendance. (E.G. Dean of Students, Financial Aid, Athletics, etc.)
