Course Objectives

 

Course Description:    This course is designed to give you the basic understanding of and appreciation for bowling. Also:

  1. To become knowledgeable in the areas of bowling and competition
  2. To know and be able to use appropriate terminology
  3. To know how to score
  4. To demonstrate proper bowling technique in the set up, push away, takeaway, and four-step delivery
  5. To have fun

Attendance Requirements

 

Attendance:     There will be 15 points deducted from your participation grade for unexcused absences. Every two tardies will be treated as an absence.


Writing Proficiency Requirement All students seeking a Bachelor's degree from Midwestern State University must satisfy a writing proficiency requirement once they've 1) passed English 1113 and English 1123 and 2) earned 60 hours. You may meet this requirement by passing either the Writing Proficiency Exam or English 2113. Please keep in mind that, once you've earned over 90 hours, you lose the opportunity to take the $25 exam and have no option but to enroll in the three-credit hour course.
