Understanding and working with equations, inequalities, rational expressions, exponents,
logarithms, radicals, functions,and systems of equations. Using a graphing calculator as an
aid in understanding these concepta.
There will be 3 exams worth 100 points each and a comprehensive final exam worth 150 points. There will be random quizzes throughout the semester that will consist of several problems very similar to those on recent homework assignments. These will be worth a total of 75 points. This means that doing all your homework before the next class meets is very important even though it will not be handed in and graded. If you miss an exam you must arrange to makeup the exam before the next class period. Only one exam can be made up. Quizzes cannot be made up.
