Research and Publications

  • “How the Literature Suggests that Public School Superintendents Address Issues with Children from Poverty” (Circa 2006-Not yet published)

This work focuses on the literature surrounding recent approaches to reaching and teaching children from poverty and the superintendent’s role in that process. It begins, however, with a historical perspective of how the issue of poverty permeated the school districts and began to create issues deserving special attention from the education community.

  • “School Leadership: A Staff Development” (In Process)

This staff development piece focuses on effective leadership principles for public school leaders and administrators.

  • “So You Think You Want to Teach…” (In Process)

This book is being designed to provide a panoramic view of the profession of teaching at any level. The goal of this publication will be to assist those new to the profession or seriously considering entering the profession an opportunity to fully consider the cost of the profession, and then to develop the needed passion for reaching their students rather than simply “disseminating knowledge” such that only those fully in tune with teacher gain the knowledge and understanding of what is taught.
