InterestsI am interested in teaching a broad spectrum of engineering courses. I am also interested and am actively engaged in the development of laboratories for the teaching of subjects in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and instrumentation. Other interests include development of course and program assessment tools and methods, conducting research in my fields of expertise and cooperating with other faculty in the department to obtain grants to improve the department and its offerings. I am also interested in woodworking, collecting clocks, and ancient scientific instruments and tools. |

My areas of research include turbulent flow modeling, drag-reducing fluids, and the development numerical grid generation schemes. However, my research also extends to pedagogical issues. In addition, I have reviewed several books and more than one hundred publications, and have served as session chair in several conferences.
