The student center was built in 1951 when Midwestern University had an enrollment of 1,206. It was appropriately named the University Center. The new building housed the cafeteria, student lounges, a snack bar, a ballroom and administrative offices.

The Recreation Room provides a place for students to congregate and relax. Students can enjoy games such as pool, ping pong, shuffle board, darts and a variety of video games.

Clark Student Center is the main hub for student oriented services. It houses the dining facilites, post office, Student Affairs, Student Development, and many other offices, as well as, space to lounge, study, or have meetings.
