Changes to Faculty Course/Syllabi Listings

When our office was first asked to create the Faculty Course/Syllabi database one of the requirements was a place for Faculty to upload a Word Document calendar for that course. We included an upload field for each course. We also create an Attachment link that allows you to upload multiple files for each course (such as a PDF version of the Syllabus for students to download, a Powerpoint presentation that goes with the course, etc). Unfortunately, a LOT of people have been using the "calendar upload" area as a place to put any and everything. As you can see in the images below, the "attachments" area is a better place to put these files since it appears at the top of the course details page. The calendar file area is located at the bottom of the page and not often seen by students.

To remedy this situation we are removing the Calendar File area and moving all files to the attachments area. This is a better solution as it will put your calendar file at the top of the page and we will no longer have to worry about faculty uploading the wrong files there.
