The Political Science program at MSU prides itself on a 100% graduation rate. The student-to-faculty ratio is 3:1. The small class sizes offered by the program allow for more focused attention from the faculty and hands-on learning through classroom teaching, enhanced research skills and statistical analysis.
MSU’s Political Science program is pleased to be able to offer out-of-state students in-state tuition. Additionally, students may obtain funding through research and teaching positions and through departmental scholarships. Financial support is also available for in-state and out-of-state conference presentations.
After completing the Political Science program, many students go on to become instructors at small colleges or secondary teachers, work for federal, state, and local governments, or pursue a doctoral degree. There are internship opportunities available as well as some prospect for placement at Sheppard Air Force Base, which can open the doors to other opportunities in the future.
