Electronics Technician I
This is skilled work in the installation, repair and maintenance of electronic, pneumatic and electrical controls in campus buildings. Performs preventative maintenance and repair on air handler units, controls, kitchen equipment, and electric motors. Works under general supervision.
Installs and repairs controls. Works on pumps, appliances, motors, and fans. Preventative maintenance on electronic and electrical controls. Solicits bids and makes spot purchases. Inventories, orders, and receives stock. Calibrates and tests controls. Performs other duties as required.
Moderate physical activity with occasional lifting of objects weighing over fifty pounds. Requires employment physical exam.
Five years experience in electronics, pneumatic, and general equipment repair, and construction of systems
Considerable knowledge of test equipment, electric circuits, and controls. Thorough knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, and electrical principles.
High school graduation and vocational school training in electronics related field.
Must be able to follow oral instructions, blueprints, and schematics and to keep detailed and accurate maintenance records and schedules. A valid Texas driver's license is preferred.
